Job Description
Description Responsible for entire operation and maintenance activity of the common effluent treatment plant. Facilities to ensure the efficient, safe, and economical treatment of wastewater, disposal of sludge. Plans, organizes, assigns, directs, and reviews the work of employees engaged in the operation and maintenance of the common effluent treatment plant Facilities to meet all applicable regulatory requirements and in accordance with design criteria. Develops and implements techniques and methods of process control which increase plant efficiency. Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of common effluent treatment plant components. Knowledge of the mechanical, biological, and chemical processes involved in the operation of a common effluent treatment plant. Knowledge of the occupational hazards in common effluent treatment plants and safety measures to be implemented. Knowledge of and ability to apply principles of sound management and budget. Ability to plan and direct the work of subordinate employees Reviews and comments on all plans for construction, repair, or replacement of any plant components. Ability to perform, analyze, and interpret laboratory tests for the purpose of making operational adjustments. Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels. Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings pertaining to plant expansions and improvements. Liaison with government departments and their officials including GPCB, CPCB district authorities, local governments etc. Candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skill. Minimum of 6 years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation and maintenance of a common effluent treatment plant facility, preferably worked as plant head.
